Toddler Group

Howlands Toddler Group meets every Wednesday morning from 9.30am till 11.00am, during term time. Come early as we can get busy!

​

All children aged 0 to 5 years are welcome to join in the fun.

​

We have plenty of toys and each week the kids enjoy a different craft activity such as playdoh, painting, making cards (Christmas, Father's Day, Easter etc), refreshments and rhyme time. In the summer we have outdoor toys too.

​

Parents/Carers can enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and a chat while the kids play, all within eye and earshot.

Cost is £2.50 for 2 children and £0.50 for any additional children per session. 

​

There is no waiting list, so please feel free to pop in at any time, although we can get busy at certain points of the year.

​

Home Groups 

Thursdays at 8.00pm (fortnightly) and Wednesdays at 2.00pm (fortnightly) "In each of these small groups people meet to pray for each other and for the church, as well as studying the Bible together." 

Chair Based Exercise Class

“My Husband has a life limiting illness. He was advised to take regular exercise but with consideration to his age & neuropathy. He cannot stand for long & suffers discomfort. He attends a chair based class. 

His illness has also meant a reduced mental capacity, so cannot be left alone. As his carer I am wary of who I leave him with. Suzina was recommended by our local hospice as being knowledgeable on what exercise he could do and safe to leave him with. This has certainly been true for the 18 months that he has attended.

Suzina is a ball of energy, cheerful and positive. She has the attendees doing their exercises to safely push themselves if able to, ensuring everyone gets their best out of the class.

She clearly explains the benefit of each exercise & guides them through each one.

My Husband's balance, flexibility & strength have improved & Suzina is now encouraging him to attend a more advanced balance class.  I'm happy to leave him for the hour, knowing he is in safe hands".

"At 88 I joined Suzina's chair based exercise. Since then I have become fitter whilst having fun. I've met friendly like mind people. Oh and once a month we get tea and biscuits after class!".
